   Neecey's Lullaby was not an easy book to write. Emotionally, it took years to complete. I had to face demons from my youth and break the chains of the darkness that held me captive for so many years. While critics may think that the book is a little much, the daily news have cases that are far more bizarre than anything portrayed in this or any other novel.      Every day three to four children die as a result of child abuse. Seventy-six percent of those children are under the age of four years old. In 2003, there were an estimated three million reports of child abuse. (Mercy! Think of all the incidents that were not reported.)
